Valence: A Gentle And Friendly Way Of Life

Valence: A Gentle And Friendly Way Of Life

Located between Vercors and Provence, the pretty city of Valence is the door to the Midi region of France. Awarded the designation “Ville et Pays d’Art et d’Histoire” (Town and Land of Art and History), it boasts beautiful monuments such as the Maison des Têtes, the Maison Mauresque, the must-see Saint-Apollinaire Cathedral consecrated by the Pope in 1095, as well as the iconic Peynet bandstand. To make the most of its slow pace, Valence has many walks for strolling around gardens and by the canals. If you are a food-lover, the Saint-Jean quarter is the place for you. You will be greeted by a warm, deliciously Mediterranean atmosphere, and many restaurants where you can savour the local specialities.
